Ways To Get Access To GPT-4 and GPT-4 Plugins

OpenAI has announced the release of its latest AI language model, GPT-4. The new AI model is packed with some incredible new features, like the ability to understand images, produce output longer than 25,000 words, and be safer and smarter than its predecessor.
If you’re interested in getting access to GPT-4, here are three ways you can do it:
1. Join the waitlist
If you have an OpenAI account, you must have received this email from OpenAI. Sign up here: https://openai.com/waitlist/gpt-4-api

Once you get access, you should see the new model in OpenAI Playground.

Once you’ve signed up for the waitlist, you’ll have to wait for OpenAI to grant you access to GPT-4. This could take some time, as the company is likely to be overwhelmed with requests.
2. Subscribe to ChatGPT Plus
Another way to get access to GPT-4 is to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus. OpenAI has made GPT-4 available to ChatGPT Plus users, who pay a subscription fee of $20 per month.

I still need to find out from OpenAI if it’s available to ChatGPT Plus users in the future or only to Plus users before the GPT-4 announcement.
If you’re an existing ChatGPT Plus user and not able to access GPT-4 yet, OpenAI said that they expect to be severely capacity constrained, so the usage cap will depend on demand and system performance.
3. Use the latest Bing Chat
Finally, you can also get access to GPT-4 by using the latest Bing Chat.
Yusuf Mehdi, corporate VP, and chief marketing officer for consumers at Microsoft, confirmed that GPT-4 is the engine behind the Bing preview.

Bing has confirmed that it uses GPT-4 but it doesnt have the features such as the visual input from the chat.

The above ways are possible methods to access the GPT-4 and indeed the model performs better than ChatGPT according to various estimates.

I have not received access to the plugins despite the plus subscription but a friend did receive access to the plugins and they are fantastic.
